How to manage meeting room time slots

You'll need to be an admin to do this. Find out how to grant admin permissions to a user here.

If you're an admin you can manage meeting room availability in Slack. Just follow these quick and easy steps to specify how the start time and duration operates when someone is booking a meeting room.

Step 1: Open the Hot Desk app within Slack.

Step 4: Enter the opening and closing times. This controls the start times selectable in the booking form. The latest start time in the booking form will be the closing time minus the shortest booking duration.

Step 5: Enter the shortest and longest booking durations. This controls the durations shown when someone makes a booking. The shortest booking also controls the increment for the start time in the booking form - if it's set to 15 minutes the start time will be at 00, 15, 30, and 45 minutes past the hour; if it's set to 30 minutes the start time will be at 00 and 30 minutes past the hour. The longest booking controls the maximum length of time a booking can be.
